Membership Levels

CAA, after a vote of approval by the membership at the AGM in Amsterdam, is adopting a new tiered membership structure based upon a member’s country of residence, starting in 2024. Anyone attending CAA2024 in Auckland, New Zealand, must be a 2024 CAA member prior to registering for the conference.

Join CAA

All annual memberships are valid from January 1 – December 31 of a calendar year and are non-refundable.

To join CAA please follow the steps below to determine your membership rate group and category:

1. Determine your Membership Rate Group

Membership Rate Groups are based upon your current country of residence.

  • Group A: Members living in any of the following countries should select the Group A rate within the applicable membership category: Andorra; Australia; Austria; Belgium; Bermuda; British Virgin Islands; Brunei Darussalam; Canada; Cayman Islands; Cyprus; Denmark; Finland; France; Germany; Greenland; Hong Kong SAR (China); Iceland; Ireland; Israel; Italy; Japan; Korea, Republic of; Kuwait; Liechtenstein; Luxembourg; Macao SAR (China); Malta; Monaco; Netherlands; New Caledonia; New Zealand; Norway; Puerto Rico; Qatar; San Marino; Singapore; Spain; Sweden; Switzerland; United Arab Emirates; United Kingdom; United States of America
  • Group B: Members currently not residing in any of the countries listed above are eligible to pay the Group B rate within the applicable membership category.

2. Determine your Membership Category

Concessionary membership is available to all currently-enrolled students, retired individuals, and those whose income is below the threshold of their country group:

  • For those residing in Group A countries, the recommended annual income for concessionary membership is less than €25,000, or the equivalent in a local currency
  • For those residing in Group B countries, the recommended annual income for concessionary membership is less than €20,000, or the equivalent in a local currency

All other members should select Regular membership. If you do not meet the Concessionary eligibility guidelines but feel that your circumstances should qualify you for Concessionary membership, please contact the Bursary & Student/Low-Income Officer.

3. Select the Corresponding Category Rate Group

Click the Select button corresponding to your Membership Category Rate Group and complete the transaction on the following page. If you experience difficulties completing the credit card transaction or need an alternate payment option, please email the Treasurer and include your name, address, and the Category Rate Group for which you are trying to pay.

Refund and Transaction Policies

CAA Membership is non-refundable. Members who select a lower Rate Group or Membership Category may be required to pay any difference in order to complete the joining process. If you have questions about your Membership Level or Group, please contact the Membership Secretary prior to making your payment to help choose the correct option.
